Thievery is the new black @ Novel Spaces

I'm over at Novel Spaces today blogging about the prevalence of internet piracy and how it is affecting numerous industries, especially publishing. It's disheartening to see how people many people consider it okay to just steal someone's work. In my opinion it will eventually cause a number of authors to give up on the business all together. The sacrifice of time away from family and the months of hard work that goes into writing a book should be rewarded with a reader willing to lay down the money to read it, not steal it.

I'm interested in your thoughts on the subject. Do you see it as being wrong or do you think it's okay to buy a pirated book? Have any of you out there ever bought one?
