Sins of The MotherTomorrow, February 21st, is the premier of Sins of The Mother, the Lifetime network based on Carleen Brice's fabulous novel Orange Mint and Honey. This was one of my "stuck with me" books of 2009, and I am soooo hoping Lifetime Movie Network does it justice.
If you cannot watch tomorrow, Lifetime will reply the movie on both the 24th and the 27th. If it even comes close to the book, I can guarantee this is a movie you don't want to miss!

What makes a writer a writer?Man, I've been neglecting my blog big time. I was supposed to post some pictures from my holiday cruise and, of course, they are still sitting on my camera's memory card. I promise share later this week (umm...anyone who is familiar with my blog should not that I'm horrible at keeping promises, but I will try!)
In the mean time, I'm over at Novel Spaces today asking the question What Makes a Writer a Writer? I have my own ideas. What are yours?

Thievery is the new black @ Novel SpacesI'm over at Novel Spaces today blogging about the prevalence of internet piracy and how it is affecting numerous industries, especially publishing. It's disheartening to see how people many people consider it okay to just steal someone's work. In my opinion it will eventually cause a number of authors to give up on the business all together. The sacrifice of time away from family and the months of hard work that goes into writing a book should be rewarded with a reader willing to lay down the money to read it, not steal it.
I'm interested in your thoughts on the subject. Do you see it as being wrong or do you think it's okay to buy a pirated book? Have any of you out there ever bought one?
Go on over to Novel Spaces and let me know.
